Fundraising campaign for tour of East Asia
Founded in 1998, by conductor, Phillip Scott, the National Youth Wind Ensemble was a band of 40 extraordinarily talented young musicians, aged 15 to 19, which gained an enviable international reputation. The Ensemble specialised in music written in the last 30 years and regularly commissioned major works from important British composers, among them Philip Grange, whose Cloud Atlas, premiered by NYWE at the 2009 Cheltenham Music Festival, was awarded the British Composer Award in its class the following year.
NYWE had plans to travel on a concert tour of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, and needed approximately £100k to fund the trip. Stefan Lipa Consultancy worked closely with Phillip Scott to help him raise the money and ensure that the tour was a success.
“It was our great good fortune to have met Stefan Lipa in the early stages of NYWE’s fundraising campaign. The guidance and focus provided by Stefan Lipa Fundraising Consultancy gave me the confidence and determination I needed to make the campaign a success. Without their help, it is unlikely that our unforgettable East Asia Tour would have become a reality.”
